Quality forensics performance material is often difficult to find. SpeechGeek provides high school coaches and competitors with scripts that are not only challenging, but also of strong literary merit. Each issue of SpeechGeek contains five scripts in a variety of events: prose interpretation, poetry interpretation, humorous interpretation, dramatic interpretation, and duo interpretation. SpeechGeek’s interp scripts are written by winning authors who know what it takes to make final rounds at all levels of competition.

We are excited to present our first volume of H.I.-larious scripts! Whether you're looking for an H.I. or a humorous duo, we have five fresh and funny new scripts that give performers the opportunity to show off their characters and comedic timing. We're happy to introduce our newest author, Matt Mills, who is a forensics alum and was recently selected as a finalist in the 2013 Movie Bytes Comedy Screen Play Contest.

NANCY BRINKMAN: ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SUPERHERO
by Matt Mills
Ten year old Nancy Brinkman fancies herself the Batman of her elementary school, patrolling the halls for criminals to defeat. A few misleading run-ins, however, land her right in the hands of the principal--her arch nemesis. A hilarious script about a girl that isn’t the heroine the school wants, but the heroine the school is stuck with. (Female H.I., Male H.I., Female/Male Duo)

FOREST OF FRIENDSHIP
by Matt Mills
Sometimes the outdoors can be more mild than wild. Downtrodden forest buddies (a tree, a rock, and a stream) get worn down by passing visitors' frequent insults. In order to regain their self-esteem and general happiness, they work to impress their visitors by any means necessary. Forest of Friendship is a great selection for performers who are interested in non-traditional characters. (Male H.I., Female H.I.)

SLUMBER PARTY LIVE
by Matt Mills
A pair of best friends trying to have a relaxing night get sucked into their television. Navigating their way through various terrible "reality" shows, they try to not only find a way back home, but also maintain their status as BFFs. As an H.I. or Duo, Slumber Party Live offers a hilarious look at pop culture, reality t.v., and the tenacity of friendship. (Female H.I., Female/Female Duo)

THE LONELY GIRLS CLUB
by Matt Mills
Love is a many splendored thing, unless you’re single. Then, love is an elusive, mythical creature just out of your grasp. The Lonely Girls’ Club unites a group of unique ladies all searching for that special someone. When the support group meeting results in a night on the town, the women come to realize the error of their self-destructive ways. (Female H.I., Female/Female Duo)

GARY THE UNICORN AND TINA THE MAN O'WAR RIVER DANCE THEIR WAY INTO THE HISTORY BOOKS
by Matt Mills
Gary and Tina are abnormal species working dreadful accounting jobs. Constantly mocked by coworkers, they are overlooked and underappreciated (which for a horse with a horn and a fish with tentacles, that’s saying a lot). Seeking admiration, they train for and compete at the national river dancing championships in hopes of proving to the world just how talented they really are. (Male H.I., Male/Female Duo)
