Resolved: The United States federal government should establish national health insurance in the United States.
The 2026–2027 CX National Health Insurance Starter Suite is a complete season package combining Affirmative preparation, Negative preparation, evidence, positions, and a full teacher curriculum.
The competition package includes approximately 500 evidence cards—250 Affirmative and 250 Negative—plus complete affirmative cases and extensive negative strategy materials. Affirmative preparation covers major approaches including health equity, medical debt and affordability, labor mobility, rural health, Medicare expansion, and national health-insurance reform. Negative preparation includes topicality, disadvantages, counterplans, kritiks, case-specific frontlines, negative evidence, international-system arguments, reusable debate blocks, and supporting strategy materials.
The Starter Suite also includes a comprehensive teacher curriculum with instructional slide decks, teacher lesson plans, a National Health Insurance topic introduction, affirmative and negative strategy decks, CX skills decks, a student workbook, bell-ringers, novice policy boot camp materials, substitute lessons, LMS assignments, quizzes and tests, rubrics, vocabulary flashcards, practice-round scripts, a scope and sequence calendar, and an implementation guide.
The curriculum teaches both the topic and the skills students need to debate it: reading a plan, flowing, constructing a 1AC, writing blocks, cross-examination, impact calculus, evidence comparison, extending cards, answering disadvantages and topicality, and constructing effective 2NRs and 2ARs.
This package is designed for novice instruction, JV and varsity preparation, classroom teaching, independent assignments, tournament preparation, and year-round CX program development.
