Theatre Arts II
Course with heavy emphasis on acting, in-depth character exploration, and script analysis. Designed for students who have completed Theatre I with competency in basic acting skills (improvisation, memorization, stage movement). Theatre Arts II materials are divided into UNIT/SUBJECT FOLDERS and are designed to be used in any sequence, as the teacher chooses. Character analysis forms are provided based upon key concepts in the teaching theories of Stanislavski, Michael Shurtleff, Robert Cohen, Uta Hagan, etc. Students are required to score performance scripts with objectives/action verbs and blocking. Teaching handouts, forms and rubrics are provided for all assignments.
