Quality forensics performance material is often difficult to find. SpeechGeek provides high school coaches and competitors with scripts that are not only challenging, but also of strong literary merit. Each issue of SpeechGeek contains five scripts in a variety of events: prose interpretation, poetry interpretation, humorous interpretation, dramatic interpretation, and duo interpretation. SpeechGeek’s interp scripts are written by winning authors who know what it takes to make final rounds at all levels of competition.

We are excited to present our first volume of H.I.-larious scripts! Whether you're looking for an H.I. or a humorous duo, we have five fresh and funny new scripts that give performers the opportunity to show off their characters and comedic timing. We're happy to introduce our newest author, Matt Mills, who is a forensics alum and was recently selected as a finalist in the 2013 Movie Bytes Comedy Screen Play Contest.

MY SISTER, GOTHZILLA
by Matt Mills
On a bad day, siblings can be terrible. On a horrible day, they can be terrifying – literally. A boy, fed up with his gothic sister's mean behavior, seeks a bit of revenge. Instead of payback, though, he accidentally turns her into a giant monster. (Male H.I., Male/Female Duo)

BOYS WILL BE BOYS
by Matt Mills
Living up how your parent pictures you is stressful, especially when your parent pictures you as a member of the opposite sex. A girl undergoes a series of tests to prove to her father that, despite his wishes, she is in fact a girl. A silly piece ideal for two performers, Boys Will Be Boys takes a humorous spin on family and learning to see someone for who they really are. (Male H.I., Female H.I., Male/Female Duo)

MOONRAKER FINDS A PROM DATE
by Matt Mills
Prom is only a week away, and Moonraker is without a date. Rushing to find someone to accompany her, she ends up dueling with the school bully, Gertha. In the end, the two girls who are seemingly nothing alike come to discover they have everything in common. (Female H.I., Female/Female Duo)

WALKIE-TALKIE BOB
by Matt Mills
Josh is a socially inept teenager. In an effort to learn how to charm the people around him, he hires the over-confident (and idiotic) Bob to talk to others for him. After several hilariously failed mishaps, Josh comes to learn that money can’t make up for making a connection with someone. (Male H.I., Male/Male Duo)

STUART THE COWARDLY COP
by Matt Mills
Crime fighting takes dedication, smarts, and strength. Stuart, a consistently oblivious wannabe cop, doesn’t have any of these. When he gets rejected by the training academy, Stuart decides to learn how to be a police officer by taking care of business on the streets. The manhunt for a major criminal proves to be the perfect opportunity for Stuart to hone his killer instinct. (Male H.I.)
